Description

Magic C++ is a visual integrated development environment(IDE) designed to meet the requirements of programmers developing on remote Linux/Unix server based on Windows client.By integrating support for both FTP, TELNET and our customed Remote Development Protocol(RDP) based on a client/server architecture, Magic C++ presents a seamless interface to opening and editing files, and executing in compilers and debuggers. When comparing this to a conventional development process which would usually involve juggling a PC editor, file transfer utility and terminal window, Magic C++'s advantages become apparent.Through an integrated approach to editing, utilizing existing remote server-based compilers and debuggers(i.e. gdb or dbx) to compile and debug on Windows PC client, Magic C++ makes it easier to develop software regardless of whether the file is locally on your PC or remotely on a server running any flavor of the Linux/Unix operating system. This allows programmers developing on the Linx/Unix platform to benefit from the many familiar time-saving features provided by Windows.

  • Can I order by fax or phone? [BACK]

  • How long does it take for my license file to arrive? [BACK]

    As soon as your order has arrived here we will send a registration email with your registration code attached and some additional instructions required to unlock your trial version(s). This procedure might take up to 24-48 hours,but usually your order will be fulfilled within a couple of hours only.Please follow this link for detailed information on orders.  

  • What's the difference between an 'Upgrade' and an 'Update'? [BACK]

    An upgrade is a major change in a product denoted by a new version number (e.g. version 2 to 3).   An update is a maintenance release made available within the same version (e.g. 1.0 to 1.1).
     
  • Will I get free software updates and upgrades? [BACK]

    It is the policy of MagicUnix to make all versions of its products available for FREE updates and upgrades. We kindly request that you subscribe to the product news mailing list to receive information about the availability of new product builds, patches or bug fixes. This way we can stay in business and continue to bring you updates & upgrades to your software.

      When you purchase a product from MagicUnix, name, address and e-mail address may be gathered and stored in our customer database. MagicUnix does not distribute this information to third parties. This also applies to other types of information that you provide, such as telephone or fax numbers.
      The personal information that you supply is not used to send you unsolicited messages of any kind.
      MagicUnix does not store credit card information that you supply in any way.
    • E-mail addresses
      If you send us an e-mail message requesting technical support, your e-mail address will not be stored or shared with third parties. Messages are normally deleted after a period of up to three months.

  • Can I return or exchange the software? [BACK]

    No - a refund or exchange is not possible - see our 'Return and license policy'.

    We go to great lengths( 45 days ) to produce a trial version with which customers can ensure their satisfaction and system compatibility. This allows our customers to make an informed purchasing decision. Once that purchase has been made, we do not offer a cash refund or an exchange. We feel this policy is consistent with the major software retailers nationwide.

    No - one license is for one machine only - if you need more licenses, the volume discounts and group license is available. Please follow this link for details.

  • I have registered your software, but I have lost my registration details - what now? [BACK]

    After purchase, every customer receives a registration email from MagicUnix, which includes all required information regarding the unlocking procedure of the ordered software. Such registration details are an important document - actually it is every customer's investment and therefore the registration details should be handled carefully.

    Every customer is responsible for his/her registration details. MagicUnix does expect that every customer creates a secure backup of the registration details on an external media (CD Rom, floppy disc or similar).

    However we can re-send registration email in case of data loss.
